A God Perspective

God has been talking to me lately about seeing things from His perspective.

One night I couldn’t sleep due to a busy mind. It was full of lists of things to do. Some things I didn’t know how to do.

When I can’t sleep I try and picture where Jesus is.

I said to him “ I can’t see you”

I kept calling his name and he would reply “ Angela”

I sensed him say

“Come up higher “ I walked up a green hill and imagined him walking  beside me.

At the top of the hill was a stunning waterfall. I imagined feeling the spray of water on my face as I watched the powerful water flow with force.

Jesus said “you need to come higher still “ I then was flying with Him above fields and cities.

Everything looked so much smaller.

He told me “ I am in control, it may not feel like it but I am”

“I hold everything together “

He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1‬:‭17‬ ‭NIV‬‬

I eventually fell asleep.

Over the days to follow, I kept going back to that scene of being with Jesus above it all.

I heard Him say to me

“When you have my perspective on your circumstances and situations you realise

nothing is too difficult for me”

““I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭32‬:‭27‬ ‭NIV‬‬

He continued

“Hand over your control to me.

Let’s live in unity together, you in me and I in you.”

“When you try to do it all yourself it all becomes too much as you to take on things that were never  intended  for  you to do.”

This I know will be a daily challenge for me.

Jesus thank you that I don’t have the responsibility of holding everything or everyone together.

Thank you that the earth and everyone and everything in it belongs to you.

Thank you that you are in control.

Thank you that you are the same yesterday today and forever.

Thank you that you are my one constant.
