New Paths

Dear Child

As you launch out into the unknown.

An adventure awaits you.

It’s a path that has not been trodden by you before.

Child of mine, remember I always go before you.

I will direct each step you take.

We walk through this adventure called life together.

You may feel alone, but you are never alone. I am right beside you.

Do not try to look too far ahead, that will overwhelm you, and fear will try to disarm you.

Walk with me in the moment, and appreciate the beauty that I put in your path.

Notice how your surroundings show kindness and my love and compassion

to the next person who crosses your path.

Listen to my gentle nudges of who needs a word from me.

Lean on me, not on your own understanding.

Ask me for wisdom in every situation that arises.

I will always give you what you need.
