You are not alone.

“Even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.”

Psalms 139:12

 

There’s no place so dark that God can’t reach into!

 

Darkness or bleakness or despair never intimidates Him.

 

Gods presence illuminates the deepest desperation.

 

There is no point in trying to hide in your pit.

 

Before you took your first breath,

you were in the womb.

Where you were formed it was dark.

 

God was in that place with you. He was knitting you together in the dark.

 

“Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”

Psalms 139:16

 

Jesus knows what desperation and darkness feels like.

His disciples deserted him in his hour of need.

 

“Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Couldn’t you men keep watch with me for one hour?” he asked Peter.”

Matthew 26:40

 

 

He then went through excruciating physical pain when he hung on the cross. He felt abandoned and rejected by His own father.

 

 

“My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, so far from my cries of anguish?”

Psalms 22:1

 

Then when he had died he was placed in a cold dark tomb for three days.

 

Whatever darkness you are travelling through right now. Jesus knows what it feels like. He is walking through it with you.

 

Open your heart to Him, be honest tell him your darkest thoughts and fears.

If your angry tell him, if your sad tell Him. If you are desperate tell Him.

 

God has huge shoulders and a huge heart He can take it!!

 

His love and light will seep into your darkness.

He promised to never leave you.

God never breaks His promise.
